Rodger’s Donuts

Rodgers Donuts

One of the places from old town Duarte that I liked and had a wonderful reputation was Rodgers Donuts on the north side of Huntington between Highland and Cotter, at 1605 East Huntington Drive to be exact.  The Lepoidevins owned Rodger’s Donuts, named after their son, Rodger.  I have yet to find any pictures of the donut shop, and that is too bad.  I was at the Duarte Museum today where I found a few pictures of Duarte Youth Acres from the mid-60s but none of the big game that I was fishing for, like pictures of Northview Junior High School or the shop that sold western gear with the black plastic, life-sized horse out in front.  ‘Til next Saturday.
